Services

The TSRF provides a variety of services to users. Investigators are requested to contact the TSRF Administrator (TSRF@ucdavis.edu) to provide information on study requirements and to complete the necessary forms for use of the facility. A meeting with scientific staff will be arranged to facilitate entry and use of the facility.

  • Project consultation
  • Feeders (mouse embryonic fibroblasts, MEFs)
  • Pluripotent Stem Cell Training
  • Media preparation and lot testing
  • Cryopreservation and cell storage
  • Maintaining cell banks and karyotyping
  • Designing primers and probes for PCR
  • DNA/RNA preparation, real-time PCR
  • Quality control testing (e.g., endotoxin and mycoplasma)
  • Embedding, sectioning, staining (fixed, frozen sections)
  • Morphological assessments (e.g., phase contrast, brightfield, flourescence)
  • Immunocytochemical analyses
  • Flow cytometry, cell sorting
  • Microtome
  • Cryostat
  • Tissue engineering strategies
  • Differentiated human pluripotent stem cells for transplantation or organoid culture

Non-UC personnel subject to an additional 57% charge for established rates as per UC policy.

TSRF staff will also provide assistance with receipt of cell lines, training, and guidance in experiment setup. Individualized training can be arranged.
